Also with GoI announcing the development of 100 smart cities which essentially are aimed at deployment of internet based applications, content management platforms and broadband infrastructures in every sphere of public systems (such as healthcare, media, energy and the environment, safety, and public services). Hence ‘Smart Village’ has to be a parallel agenda as it would augment the objectives of ‘Smart Cities’.
