Bio in brief: Arpan Kumar Kar (Ph.D.) is a Professor and ASG Endowed Chair Professor in Information Systems in Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. Administratively he chairs the Information Systems group and Corporate Affairs. He works on the adoption, appropriation and user experience of emerging ICTs, often using computationally intensive machine learning and mixed research methods. He has authored over 100 publications in ABDC A, ABS 3 and WoS Q1 level journals, and 20 are ABDC A* publications. As of 2026, his research has been cited over 30,000 times, with an H index over 70. He is Associate Editor for ABDC A ranked journals like Communications of the Association for Information Systems, Journal of Computer Information Systems and Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management. He was the founding Editor in Chief of IJIM Data Insights (2020-2024). He has held editorial roles like Senior Editor, Associate Editor, Guest Editor, in multiple reputed journals like IJIM, DSS, JAIS, IMM, etc in the past. In total, he has received over 20 awards from globally reputed organizations like IFIP, Clarivate, AIS, ACM, Birla foundation, AIIMS, Elsevier, TCS, PMI, Ivey, HBSP, etc.
